You better believe Gesicki wants to keep playing with Joe Burrow.

The Cincinnati Bengals felt like one of the best teams in the NFL at points this season; however, they also had far too many one-score wins to justify a spot in the NFL Playoffs. The Denver Broncos killed those chances with a massive win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

Ending the Bengals season triggered a slew of new conversations to be had, and one of those will be with tight end Mike Gesicki. Gesicki is going to be a free agent this upcoming season, and he had a terrific 2024 season with the Joe Burrow-led Bengals.

Does he want to come back? During exit interviews, Gesicki said absolutely, but it may be more complicated than just that.

Gesicki ended the season with 665 receiving yards, the third-highest amount of his career. He also had two touchdowns, both ironically coming against the Las Vegas Raiders in the Bengals’ 41-24 win on Nov. 3, 2024.

The former Dolphin and Patriot really came on strong to end the regular season, totaling 18 receptions in the team’s last two games. However, the Bengals have lost players like Hayden Hurst and CJ Uzomah in free agency after terrific seasons in Cincinnati.

While Gesicki might want to stay in the Queen City, it’ll be interesting to see where the discussions land in the coming months, especially as the team looks to hammer out new deals for Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

Gesicki will likely command a large offer from other teams. The question is, will he be willing to take less in Cincinnati?
