As Everton transfer news breaks in Italy, Torino is prepared to sell Antonio Sarabia for a discount of at least £4 million.

Torino Granata has reported that Torino striker Tonny Sanabria is available for transfer this summer amid interest from Everton.

The Italian outlet has reported (15 June) that Sanabria could be available for just over £17million, a discount considering the club values him at £21million.

Everton are among the Premier League clubs interested in the striker’s services, with the report also mentioning Crystal Palace and Wolves.

The 27-year-old’s transfer availability is not due to a performance-related issue, in fact, the striker just had his best goalscoring season for the club to date, however the need for finances at the club means they are willing to accept offers.

Smart signing

It isn’t often a club is willing to accept a cut-price deal for their main man after his best goalscoring season, however, that is the unique scenario Torino finds themselves in. The Paraguayan international scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 33 Serie A appearances last year.

This is particularly impressive when you factor in that Torino, who finished 10th, were the lowest goalscoring team in the top 13. They scored 42 league goals, which means just shy of a third of their return came from Sanabria himself.

Everton could find themselves with a bargain if they pursue this reported interest. The need for goals at the club is apparent, and a striker should be at the very top of Sean Dyche’s wishlist.

With the player still 27, and in his best career form yet, he could arrive in the Premier League and make a real impact for the Toffees, and that £17million pricetag would quickly look like a steal.
