Your USC Trojans’ all-time college record 34-game win streak, tied for the most consecutive wins this century with the 2000-2003 Miami Hurricanes, reigns supreme, all thanks to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Georgia Bulldogs, who were on a 29-game win streak ahead of their SEC championship game on Saturday, saw that streak evaporate by the end of it. The Bulldogs dropped their first game in 728 days. Georgia ends their streak tied with the 1990-1993 Miami Hurricanes and the 2012-2014 Florida State Seminoles.

The USC Trojans’ streak lasted from 2003 to 2005. The streak went from the fifth game of the 2003 season to the epic 2006 Rose Bowl National Championship, where USC’s dynasty ended against the Texas Longhorns. That game is considered one of the greatest college football games of all time to this day.

The streak is not on the record books, though, because the wins were vacated due to the team violating NCAA regulations. Although the record books say one thing, the players, coaches, and fans saw it happen. The team did nothing wrong on the football field; those wins happened, they dominated their opponents, and those teams stand as one of the best college football teams we have and will ever see.

It’ll be nice for a new Trojans team to set a winning streak of their own. We’ll see if Lincoln Riley can do it in his tenure; easier said than done.
