New York Rangers reporter Mollie Walker has reported that defenseman K’Andre Miller will miss tonight’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs due to personal reasons.

Miller has tallied five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 25 games while racking up 34 blocked shots and 24 hits while averaging 22:11 minutes of ice time. He is ranked second among Rangers defensemen for points trailing captain Jacob Trouba.
In July, the 23-year-old agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $7,744,000. He registered nine goals and 34 assists for 43 points in 79 games, averaging 21:57 of ice time during the 2022-23 season. Miller added 37 penalty minutes, 162 hits and 105 blocked shots. He ranked third on the Rangers for hits and fourth in blocked shots.
Miller was initially selected No. 22 overall by the Rangers in the 2018 NHL Draft. Following the draft, he played for the University of Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA. During his freshman year, he tallied 22 points in 26 games. The following season, he notched 18 points in 36 games. Miller was named to the NCAA B1G All-Rookie Team and was a two-time NCAA B1G Honorable Mention All-Star.
The St. Paul, Minnesota product made his NHL debut in the 2020-21 season; he scored his first NHL goal on January 26, 2021, against the New Jersey Devils. That season, he notched five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 53 games; he was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team. Miller found more ice time during the 2021-22 campaign and was the only player among all Rangers skaters to appear in all 82 games. Miller notched 20 points during the regular season and added seven points in 20 Stanley Cup Playoff contests. Through 240 NHL games, he has registered 87 points.
