The Tennessee Titans entered the season as a team to keep an eye on, but not for the best reasons.

Most analysts believed they were going to go through a bit of a panic sale, parting ways with Derrick Henry and several other veterans.

That wasn’t the case, but they didn’t fare well, either.

The only silver lining is that they found their QB of the future in Will Levis, but they were still eliminated from playoff contention with three games left in the season.

Notably, Henry’s words after the loss to the Houston Texans sounded off the alarms among the fan base.

“We had a hope of kind of slipping in there. and then being eliminated, knowing it’s three games left. I’ve been here my whole career. I definitely want to go out strong, which isn’t the case,” Henry said.

The superstar running back hinted at being unsure about his future with the organization, stating that he wanted to ‘go out strong,’ which obviously wasn’t the case.

Henry is no longer the top-notch running back in the league, but he’s still one of the best there is.

He’s set to become a free agent, and while the Titans refused to deal him before the trade deadline and claimed that they wanted to keep him around for good, Henry’s words make it seem like that’s not going to be the case anymore.

The 29-year-old has rushed for 884 yards and ten scores on 230 carries this season, far below his career averages since bursting out and becoming one of the most dominant and physical forces in the league.

Now, it’ll be interesting to see whether the market honors his résumé and talent or if he’ll be yet another underpaid and underappreciated running back
