Former UCLA defensive back Kamari Ramsey had an ambitious visit schedule over the last week but it sounds like he’s closing in on making his decision.
Ramsey is one of the top safety prospects in the transfer portal. He was rated the No. 176 player nationally in the Top247 coming out of high school and is currently rated the No. 39 player overall and the No. 2 safety in the 247Sports Transfer Portal Rankings.
He entered the transfer portal on December 6 and immediately had schools from all over the country lining up. He took official visits last week to USC, Washington and Ohio State over a seven day period and just got back home on Monday.
We’re expecting Ramsey to make his decision at some point this week and it sounds like the Trojans are in a good spot. I went ahead and put in a Crystal Ball forecast for USC to land the gifted safety.
Ramsey started every game for UCLA last season and finished the year with 40 tackles and an interception. He was the Bruins best defensive back and is a definite NFL prospect.
He’s a physical player who shows range in the passing game and is an excellent tackler in space. He’s a big hitter who plays a physical game and should be an immediate impact player wherever he signs.
