The Jacksonville Jaguars added a quarterback Tuesday amid a complicated situation this week. The Jaguars waived backup quarterback Nathan Rourke on Saturday. The New England Patriots signed Rourke off waivers on Monday after they lost Will Grier to the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Jaguars made the decision to waive Rourke when Trevor Lawrence was healthy. But Lawrence suffered a concussion on Sunday Night Football. The Jaguars aren’t sure if he will be available to play in Week 16 against The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Jaguars added depth to the position on Tuesday. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Jaguars signed E.J. Perry to the practice squad.

Perry is familiar with Doug Pederson’s scheme, as he was on the Jaguars practice squad last season. He could wind up backing up C.J. Beathard if Lawrence cannot pass all phases of the concussion protocol.
