Salford Red Devils could sign a Super League player from bitter rivals.

Salford Red Devils are one of the Super League clubs in the market for transfers ahead of the new season.

The club have had a rough off season losing Ken Sio who was released on compassionate leave. The Red Devils are also reportedly set to lose Joe Burgess after a reported disciplinary incident.

This has left them in the market for a winger but also a prop to boost their forward pack. In a silver lining to their current woes is the opening of a quota spot after the loss of Ken Sio which opens the door for Salford to sign Ben Nakubuwai from Leigh Leopards.

The impressive prop is set to leave Leigh ahead of the new season according to reports with the club set to release him to sign Tristan Sailor.

Salford could very well make a move for the prop ahead of the new season which would be a lovely Christmas present for Salford fans.

But credit to Salford, members of the Salford Red Devils men’s and women’s team have been lending a hand at local charity, Home-Start Trafford, Salford & Wigan.

They are a locally run, voluntary organisation operating as an independent Charitable Company, strategically managed by a Board of Trustees, made up of local professional volunteers.

As the festive season gets into full swing, Home-Start have received some brilliant toy donations from local organisations and corporate partners.

They then had less than 24 hours to make up 200 sacks of toys to the children who they are currently supporting, before delivering to families in the hope of making Christmas less stressful for parents.
