Miami is getting first-team All-ACC receiver Xavier Restrepo back for his final year of college football.
On Friday morning, the 5-foot-10, 198-pounder announced his intentions to spend one more year in Coral Gables. This is coming off of a record-setting campaign where Restrepo broke the single-season receptions record (85) for 1092 yards and six touchdowns.
With Restrepo returning to Miami, the Hurricanes are bringing back the top two returning pass catchers in the ACC with Jacolby George coming off of a strong 864 yard season where he scored eight times.
Miami is still searching for who will be throwing the ball to Restrepo and George next season as the program pursuit’s Washington State transfer quarterback Cameron Ward who is still deciding between the Hurricanes, Florida State, and the NFL Draft.
Over the course of his career, Restrepo has totaled 131 catches for 1717 yards and ten touchdowns.
Miami opens the 2024 season against Florida on August 31 in Gainesville.
