Denver Broncos announced a serious roster moves ahead of their game.

The Denver Broncos announced a series of roster moves ahead of their game this Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. They announced that they have signed receiver Michael Bandy to the active 53-man roster while promoting wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and outside linebacker Ronnie Perkins off the practice squad.

To make room for wide receiver Michael Bandy on the active roster, the Broncos placed running back/special teams player Dwyane Washington on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list.

Bandy being added to the active roster is likely not a good sign that the Broncos will have rookie wide receiver/returner Marvin Mims Jr. available for the game. He popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury and was listed as a DNP for Friday’s practice and listed as questionable for the game. So, with Bandy on the active roster, we likely will not see Mims Jr. in this one.

Perkins was elevated to provide depth with Baron Browning missing this game due to a concussion. He did not practice all week and was ruled out Friday for this Sunday’s game. Thankfully, Nik Bonitto will be returning from a knee injury that sidelined him for a few games and likely will start opposite of outside linebacker, Jonathon Cooper.

The Chargers are a banged-up roster down their franchise quarterback, their head coach, and will be without multiple starting receivers but did play tough vs. the Bills last week. So, the Broncos, who are in a bit of a transition period as well could be in for a tough matchup in this one.
