The Shakespearean tragicomedy that is the Phoenix Suns continues.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Suns star Kevin Durant will miss Monday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Durant is said to be dealing with soreness in his hamstring.

The news comes just two games after fellow Phoenix star Bradley Beal returned to the lineup following an ankle sprain. Beal also missed significant time prior to that due to a back strain.

On top of it all, Durant and Devin Booker have both sat out intermittently this season with ankle issues of their own. As a result, Phoenix’s Big Three sits at a grand total of four games played together out of a possible 31 this year (which will now be four of 32 with Durant missing Monday’s contest against the Blazers).

This may just be a precautionary absence by Durant since the Suns, who are 17-15 overall, are on the second half of a back-to-back set on Monday. But with hamstring injuries having a tendency to linger and with Phoenix’s Big Three already having comically bad luck when it comes to being healthy at the same time, Suns fans cannot be feeling too encouraged by this news.
