Man Utd and Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of reaching a final agreement over the transfer of André Onana.

The Cameroonian joined the Nerazzurri as a free agent last summer. He cemented his place as one of the best goalkeepers on the planet with his splendid displays.

The 27-year-old’s heroics played a vital part in the club’s memorable run towards the Champions League final in Istanbul.

However, the Italians will have to sell the scintillating custodian to balance books and fund their transfer campaign.

Inter have been engaged in crunch talks with Man United over the past few days. The Red Devils are determined to sign Onana whom they consider to be the ideal candidate to replace David De Gea.

According to Dutch newspaper De Teelegraaf via FcInter1908, the two clubs are very close to reaching a final agreement.

While the Beneamata were initially hoping to collect 60 million euros, they could sell the player for 55 million.

The source adds that the custodian will then sign either a five-year contract with the Premier League giants, or a four-year deal with an option for a fifth season.

Onana will reunite with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutch tacitican had an important role in the goalkeeper’s career.
