Georgia has landed a commitment from a former USC wide receiver.

Michael Jackson III entered the transfer portal last month. The former Trojans receiver shared a graphic to his social media page Thursday that announced he was transferring to Georgia.

Jackson played seven games for the Trojans this season and had 17 catches for 146 yards and a touchdown. In three seasons with the team, he had 46 catches for 498 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Jackson was rated as a 4-star recruit by 247 Sports’ composite rankings coming out of high school. He had offers from numerous schools, including 3 SEC programs (Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee).

Georgia’s leading receiver this season was tight end Brock Bowers, who had 56 catches for 714 yards and 6 touchdowns. Bowers has since said he is going to the NFL.

Senior Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint and junior Dominic Lovett were the team’s next most productive receivers.
