Former Tennessee WR has been denied for playoff after suffering serious blow to the head.

Former Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Cedric Tillman is still going through the concussion protocol ahead of the Cleveland Browns’ playoff game on Saturday.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman’s status is in question heading into Saturday’s playoff game against the Houston Texans. He didn’t practice with the team on Wednesday after entering the concussion protocol in a week 18 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The former Tennessee wideout tallied 21 catches for 244 yards in his rookie season.

Tillman had an uber-productive 2021 season, tallying 64 catches for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns. His 2022 season was hampered by injuries, meaning his draft stock took a slight hit. Analysts are still high on what he can do at the next level. The Athletic’s Dane Brugler says Tillman should have been higher on his final big board and expected Tillman to impress team evaluators in the predraft process.

Tillman ran an official 4.55-second forty-yard dash, a decent time for his massive 6-3 and 215 lbs. frame. His explosive metrics were excellent; he vertical jumped 37 inches, and broad jumped 10 feet and eight inches. His RAS score of 9.22 was one of the tops among receivers. He will pair with Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, one of the top passers in the league since being signed off the couch by the Browns. They are entering an important run, and Tillman should pair nicely with wide receivers Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore.
