Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) forward Caleb Wilson is heading to Chapel Hill for his UNC basketball official visit this weekend. The 6-foot-9, 205-pound nimble five-star, No. 4 on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, is visiting alongside another 2025 Tar Heel target in Link Academy (Mo.) five-star guard Jasper Johnson (No. 12 ranking).

And they’ll be in the Dean E. Smith Center when the No. 3 Tar Heels (17-4, 9-1 ACC) host their nearby archival, No. 7 Duke (16-4, 7-2 ACC), at 6:30 p.m. ET Saturday (ESPN).

Ahead of his high-profile trip to Chapel Hill, Caleb Wilson was impressively productive in back-to-back HIES wins, showcasing what the Tar Heels would receive if they prevail in the loaded recruiting race (his dozens-deep offer sheet includes Kentucky, Kansas, and Duke).

On Wednesday night, the projected one-and-done lottery pick exhibited supreme versatility on both ends of the floor, to the tune of 29 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and four blocks to power a 65-51 win against visiting Southwest DeKalb.

Wilson, still in a somewhat early stage of his recruitment with no named finalists yet, followed that up with 19 points, 19 boards, nine dimes, five blocks, and two steals in Friday night’s 72-49 home victory over Miller Grove. That improved his team’s record to 17-6 overall, including a first-place 13-1 mark in Georgia’s AAAA Region 6 action.

In the process, the mere high school junior tallied his 1,000th point as a prep.

There’s no doubt Wilson, who initially planned to check out the Tar Heels in November but ended up postponing the visit, is at or near the top of UNC basketball’s 2025 wishlist. However, it’s worth noting that every top five prospect on the 247Sports 2025 Composite holds an offer from Hubert Davis and his staff.
