Bradley Beal (43 PTS) showed the Wizards what they were missing after returning to the city that drafted him for the first time since his trade to the Suns.

Bradley Beal hasn’t had the ideal start to his Suns career, struggling with injuries early and still finding consistency in the team’s offense. With over a month of consistent action under his belt, Beal has shown flashes of the electric scorer he used to be.

In his first game back in Washington against the Wizards, the team that drafted him and he played for 11 years, Beal dropped 43 points in a 140-112 win. He reacted to his explosion of form back in the arena he once called home.

“I know this gym a little bit. but for me, I haven’t shot it too well last few games. It was just good to be able to be in a good flow and good rhythm. What better place to do it than in your old home? I was just fortunate, man. My teammates were encouraging and uplifting, they wanted to get the win for me too. That was a big feeling. Once the ball was in the air, it was like a normal game. I enjoyed every moment, the process, and had fun.”

Beal is averaging 18.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists this season. While he is the third option on this team behind Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, his presence has made the Suns’ offense nearly unstoppable. He is far too good to be ignored offensively, forcing most teams to play one-on-one basketball against Phoenix.
