Demario Davis plays a crucial role in the success of the New Orleans Saints defense.

Davis, 35, was named the 2024 Pro Bowl Games Defensive MVP at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. It was Davis’ second trip to the Pro Bowl and first MVP honor.

“I had a lot of great teammates, the best in the business,” Demario Davis said after being presented the Defensive MVP Trophy. “They played awesome. I got to give a major shoutout to them. It was great being on the NFC team, the winning team. But most importantly, being on the winning team, the Kingdom of God. That’s where my power comes from. That’s where the glory goes. Being on this stage with the greats. Like Eli Manning, DeMarcus Ware, and going against Peyton Manning, Ray Lewis, the legends of the game, you know you got to be locked in mentally, and that’s how we showed up.”

During the Pro Bowl Games, New Orleans native Eli Manning led the NFC team while his brother Peyton Manning coached the AFC team. DeMarcus Ware and Keenan McCardell assisted them for the NFC, and Wes Welker and Ray Lewis on the AFC squad.

In 2023-24, Demario Davis had 17 game appearances and recorded 121 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 11 QB hits, and 12 TFLs.

He has been honored with five consecutive AP Pro Bowl honors (2019 First Team, 2020-23 Second Team) and two straight Pro Bowls in 2022 and 2023.

Demario Davis has been serving as a defensive captain and signal-caller for the New Orleans team for the past six seasons. He restructured his contract in March 2021. Neither the team nor Davis has indicated plans for a contract extension.

New Orleans wide receiver Rashid Shaheed also participated at the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.
