There wasn’t much more Joakim Dodson needed to see or learn about Tennessee on Saturday. But even after making several trips to Knoxville over the past two years, the Vols still managed to show him something different and make him feel even more comfortable with them.
Tennessee again made a strong impression on the Class of 2025 wide receiver from Collierville (Tenn.) High School, just outside Memphis, during his visit Saturday for the Vols’ first junior day of the year. They’re still one of the teams standing out most to him, and he’s now just days away from announcing his college decision.
The 6-foot, 178-pound Dodson told GoVols247 that he plans to reveal his choice on Saturday. Tennessee and Missouri recently have been the two schools standing out most to him, and the Tigers hosted him Jan. 20 for a junior day. He also traveled to Cincinnati on Jan. 27 and Indiana on Jan. 28 before heading back to Tennessee, the school he now has visited a half-dozen times since June 2022.
