Le10Sport have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of three Premier League clubs eyeing a move for Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.

Veiga shot to the limelight owing to his breakthrough season at Celta Vigo in 2022-23, finishing the campaign with 11 goals and four assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

The versatile attacking midfielder’s displays have allegedly caught the attention of several Premier League clubs if Le10Sport’s latest update is to be believed.

Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea all keen on Gabri Veiga

The publication reveals that there is no truth to the reports suggesting that Paris Saint-Germain are after Veiga, with the Ligue 1 giants said to be looking at other options instead.

Instead, it is alleged that the 21-year-old could be on his way to England, with Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea said to be monitoring the player’s situation.

This is not the first time that Veiga has been linked with a move to Tottenham, with Atlantico reporting back in April that the Lilywhites were battling AC Milan and Napoli for the Spaniard.

The outlet asserted at the time that Celta were demanding that interested clubs meet the midfielder’s €40m (£35.3m) release clause to sign him.

There is no doubt that Postecoglou would need a competent backup to James Maddison, given how important a number eight is to his system.

Whether or not Spurs dip into the market this summer to fill that position could depend on the Australian’s decision regarding the future of Tanguy Ndombele.
