St Helens Women have announced that Rachael Woosey has returned to the club ahead of the 2024 season!
Woosey was part of the Red V squad in both 2021 and 2022, and is a former England international. She will now represent the Saints again in 2024, as the Betfred Women’s Super League commences next month!
The newest Saint will wear shirt number 30 for the upcoming season and is hoping to add to the four trophies that she has won in a Saints shirt so far in her career.
Speaking to saintsrlfc.com on her return to the club, Woosey said:
“I really enjoyed my time when I was here originally. Unbelievable memories of the club so far. The girls that we were with, and still remain now, are an incredible group that is enjoyable to be around and I do really want to get back into that environment and be back playing alongside them!”
Matty Smith, St Helens Women’s head coach added:
“I am delighted to be able to welcome Rachael into our squad. Obviously, she has played for us before so knows what its like to play in a Saints shirt, but I am looking forward to coaching her this season.
“She can play a really important role for us, and her experience will also help contribute massively to our group!”
