The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the first seed in the Western Conference standings following the NBA’s Sunday regular-season finale slate. They will now wait for the results of the play-in tournament to determine their first-round opponent.
The Thunder’s blowout win over the short-handed Dallas Mavericks helped secure this result. The Phoenix Suns assisted by handing a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 57-25 Thunder are the youngest No. 1 seed in league history.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander headlined the Thunder with a serious MVP case. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams round out one of the league’s best trios.
