Pedulla was Virginia Tech’s leading scorer.
Sean Pedulla’s time in Blacksburg is over. On Tuesday, Virginia Tech’s leading scorer announced he would not be returning for his final season. It was news that VT fans had been expecting since Pedulla entered the transfer portal after the season.
Pedulla took to Twitter to say goodbye to Virginia Tech.
On Wednesday, we learned of Pedulla’s new destination — and it’s not in his native Oklahoma. Pedulla will play his final season in the SEC at Ole Miss.
A former three-star prospect from Edmond Memorial High in Edmond, Oklahoma, Pedulla started 32 games for the Hokies, leading the team in scoring at 16.4 points per game while averaging 4.6 assists and 4.3 assists per game. The year before, Pedulla started all 34 games for Tech, averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game.
Virginia Tech head coach Mike Young has reshaped his roster after losing multiple players to the transfer portal. Pedulla is the fourth former Hokie to find a new home, joining Lynn Kidd (Miami), Tyler Nickel (Vanderbilt), and MJ Collins (Vanderbilt).
