Breaking: Dodgers manager has some great news regarding one of their best bullpen arms.

Treinen’s return to the mound has been anything but smooth. He pitched just five innings in 2022 before missing the rest of that season and 2023 with a shoulder injury.

He spent this offseason rehabbing his shoulder and was making great strides heading into spring training. Then,he took a line drive off his torso during a spring training game and exited the game early.

Initially, the team indicated that he had a bruised lung and that it was nothing serious. Fast forward several weeks, and Roberts revealed to the media that Treinen had suffered several fractured ribs.

During this most recent rehab stint, Treinen has been with the Dodgers Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City. He has allowed five earned runs in 4.1 innings, but rehab outings should be taken with a grain of salt.

The Dodgers will have to shuffle the roster a bit in the coming days. Not only do they need to make room for Treinen, but former All-Star Walker Buehler will also need a roster spot on Monday.
