West Ham United are about to embark on a new era as David Moyes is now set to leave the London Stadium in the summer.

Julen Lopetegui has reportedly agreed a deal to take over the Hammers from Moyes and, while it’s not an absolute certainty just yet, it’s looking very likely.

No matter what happens, a new manager is set to be the West Ham dugout at the end of the season, and one of the first things on the agenda will be transfer business.

With the opening of the transfer window on the horizon, the Hammers are likely to be busy over the coming months as they look to bolster their ranks.

West Ham’s front line is likely to be one of the first things the new manager will look to strengthen.

And one Premier League forward the Hammers were linked with in January is now set to be sold this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer insider has taken to X to claim Chelsea will definitely cash in on Armando Broja when he returns from his Fulham loan.

“Chelsea and Armando Broja are planning to part ways this summer,” Romano wrote in an exclusive on X.

“Permanent transfer expected as soon as he returns from Fulham loan.

“Albanian number one striker’s on the list of several clubs in Europe and Premier League, looking at him as main option.”

Back in January, Romano told GiveMeSport: “West Ham have always been big admirers of the player.”

Broja ended up joining Fulham in the end, but his loan at Craven Cottage has been largely fruitless, with seven appearances and no starts or goals to his name.

Obviously this could make West Ham think twice about moving for the £50million-rated player, but at just 22 years of age, he has his whole career ahead of him.

Let’s see whether Lopetegui (or whoever takes the West Ham reins) will look to rekindle the Hammers’ interest in the Albania international.
