Super League clubs have been alerted to the availability of St George Illawarra Dragons forward.

Exclusive: A new name from the NRL has been put on the desks of Super League clubs.

Super League clubs have been alerted to the availability of NRL forward Jack de Belin. Rugby League Live can reveal that the 33-year-old has been offered to clubs regarding a potential move to the competition next year.

De Belin, 33, is in the final year of his contract at St George Illawarra Dragons, where he has spent his entire first-grade career since his debut in 2011. He has made 214 NRL appearances for the club, including nine this year. Predominantly a loose forward, he has also played as a prop, two positions that plenty of clubs are currently looking for. It remains to be seen whether any clubs decided to make a play for de Belin.

But he could now be set for a stint in Super League after his representatives told clubs he was open to offers ahead of the 2025 season. It’s one of the early developments in the Australian market, with many representatives still waiting to offer players to Super League on a wider scale.

So far, news of NRL players potentially coming to Super League has been sparse. Tom Burgess and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves are both set to arrive after signing for Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR respectively, while more recently, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Daniel Tupou have both been linked with moves to Catalans Dragons. Elliott Whitehead has held discussions about a potential return to the competition too.

Rugby League Live also understands Dane Gagai was another player on radars, but it appears he is set to sign a new contract with Newcastle Knights.
