After making easy work of the Los Angeles Clippers in five games in the first round of the NBA playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the second round to face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder, with high hopes of advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three years.
The key to the Mavericks advancing to the next round will almost certainly be the play of superstar Luka Doncic, who has not gotten off to a good start in this series, as he struggled in Game 1 as the Thunder cruised to a victory to take the 1-0 series lead.
With Doncic struggling to start the second-round series against a young and hungry Thunder squad, LeSean McCoy of FOX Sports has gone all in on blasting the Mavericks superstar for his performance on the defensive end of the basketball floor.
McCoy went as far as to say Doncic is the “laziest superstar” that he’s ever seen, via “Speak” on FS1.
“He is the laziest superstar I have ever seen in my life,” McCoy said. “I’m just being honest. If you don’t watch his game and you don’t say the same thing, you are being biased.”
Although Doncic is sorely lacking on the defensive side of the basketball floor and could do a better job keeping his body in shape, McCoy calling him the laziest superstar ever is a pretty strong take.
Fortunately for Doncic, he and the Mavericks can try to turn things around in Game 2 before the series gets out of control before shifting to Dallas for Game 3.
