Carlos Correa contributed with two hits and scored twice, aiding the Twins in securing their ninth win in their last 13 games played in Toronto.
Jose Miranda added an RBI single to the Twins’ scoreboard, extending their winning streak on the road to seven games. Interestingly, the team carried a lucky sausage with them, which struck Santana on the helmet as he returned to the dugout after hitting his home run.
Santana expressed joy, stating that winning brings fun to the team. He emphasized the importance of taking it one day at a time and credited their current success to their focused approach.
Joe Ryan, securing his first win in three starts, allowed only one run and six hits, showcasing seven strikeouts without giving up a walk. Manager Rocco Baldelli praised Ryan’s performance, noting his strength through the sixth and seventh innings.
Jhoan Duran handled the eighth inning, while Griffin Jax sealed the victory with his fifth save in seven opportunities in the ninth inning.
Despite Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s three-hit performance, including a home run, the Blue Jays suffered their sixth loss in eight games. Their inability to secure consecutive wins has been evident since late April.
