Former Georgia QB begs for another opportunity to play for the Dawgs as Commanders terminate contract.

The Washington Commanders have released former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm. Fromm played in three NFL games during the 2021 NFL season with the New York Giants including two starts.

Fromm was a three-year starter at the University of Georgia from 2017-2019. Fromm helped Georgia win a SEC championship and College Football Playoff game during the 2017 season.

The Buffalo Bills selected Jake Fromm with a fifth round pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Fromm spent the 2020 season with the Bills. The Giants signed Fromm from Buffalo’s practice squad in 2021. Fromm spent the 2021 season with New York, but was not re-signed. He landed with the Washington Commanders practice squad in Oct. 2022. He primarily served on Washington’s practice squad from 2022-2023.

Jake Fromm will be looking for a new NFL home. He has a chance to land somewhere to compete for a practice squad or back-up quarterback role.
