Sad News: Texas A&M has lost Three-star CB target to Minnesota despite massive offer.

Despite more offers, Minnesota CB commit Zachry Harden is firm with the Golden Gophers

Minnesota’s had success recruiting Georgia defensive backs on head coach PJ Fleck. Terell Smith turned into an NFL Draft selection, Darius Green started at safety for the Gophers last season, and now this staff is looking to keep that rolling with Zachry Harden, who became the first commitment of the Gophers’ 2025 recruiting class back in late March. Harden had a great offer list when he committed with offers from places like Texas A&M, Michigan StateOle Miss and Arkansas.

And since committing to Minnesota, that hasn’t stopped the recruiting attention for the Newton defensive back. He’s picked up offers in the last month or so from places like AuburnUSC and Oklahoma State.

So does that mean that Harden is listening?

“Those conversations have been nothing but you’re offered and if something ever changes with Minnesota, let us know,” Harden said to 247Sports. “But nothing is gonna change. I’m locked in.”

Harden will be back in the Twin Cities in two weeks time for his official visit, and he’s pumped to get back to chat with his position coach Nick Monroe and head coach PJ Fleck.

“Coach Monroe has been talking to me about how excited he is to get me back on campus and about my future there. Coach Fleck is a great person and they’re just ready for me. That’s why I committed there, as that’s where I want to play at. I’m 1000% with the Maroon and Gold.”
