Nebraska football added another commitment on Sunday afternoon, picking up a commitment from 2025 offensive lineman Houston Kaahaaina-Torres.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Kaahaaina-Torres announced the Huskers on Sunday afternoon over a final group that included Arizona State, Michigan State and Utah.
The commitment gives the Huskers plenty of positional versatility, but the Hawaiian offensive lineman could end up at center once he arrives in Lincoln.
Nebraska has been heavily involved in recruiting the lineman and the recruitment started even before Matt Rhule arrived as Donovan Raiola made an offer in the summer of 2022, getting the Huskers in the mix early.
Kaahaaina-Torres visited for the spring game in 2023 and has followed Nebraska recruiting closely, including being among the many Hawaiians to congratulate and express excitement over the Huskers surprising recruiting win for offensive lineman Preston Taumua a year ago.
While not as highly rated as Taumua there’s a lot of buzz about Kaahaaina-Torres based on his performance at several events.
