The Eels will ramp up their preparations for the 2024 NRLW season with a trial match against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The Eels will host the trial match as part of a Women’s double-header at Eric Tweedale Stadium on Saturday 13 July. The NRLW side’s first hit-out of the year will be preceded by the Eels’ inaugural home game in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership.

Entry to the double-header is free, while the NRLW fixture will be live streamed on the Parramatta Eels website via NRL.com.

The NRLW trial match marks Steve Georgallis’ first outing as Head Coach of the Eels.

Georgallis joins the Eels with a wealth of coaching experience at the elite level, and takes over a promising squad headlined by the likes of Kennedy Cherrington, Rachael Pearson, Elsie Albert and Abbi Church.

The Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership team will kickstart proceedings, as they play their inaugural home game ahead of the NRLW trial match.

The Eels enjoyed a strong start to their first HNWP season, defeating the Manly Sea Eagles in their opening match last week.
