Trent Barrett’s coaching future appears to be signed, sealed and delivered as he prepares to the leave the Parramatta Eels.

Barrett had not been in Jason Ryles’ plans beyond this season as the incoming head coach continues his overhaul of the club.

The former Bulldogs and Manly coach has been linked to the Broncos for several weeks and Adam Reynolds’ comments on Monday suggests it’s inevitable after he was spotted in Brisbane’s sheds after Friday night’s match.

“I think he was just checking in with Kev and the other coaches,” Reynolds told Triple M.

“But jeez, we’re going to have a good looking coaching staff. Throw Matty Ballin in there too.”

Ballin is one of the only assistants staying at the Broncos after John Cartwright signed with Hull FC while the highly rated Lee Briers will return to England.

Meanwhile, the Eels confirmed their coaching staff for 2025 on Monday with some big names on the list.

Former Wallabies assistant Scott Wisemantel will join Ryles along with ex Knights, Dragons and Warriors head coach Nathan Brown.

Eels legend Nathan Cayless and former Roosters prop Sam Moa will also be in the staff.
