After a frustrating road trip, the Golden Knights return to Vegas for home games against the Kings, Senators, Sharks, and Flames.

Following a 3-0-0 homestand to open their 2024-2025 campaign, the Vegas Golden Knights hit the road last week looking to build off of their strong start to the season.

Instead, they ran into their first rough stretch of the young season.

It was a frustrating road trip for the Golden Knights. Vegas dropped all three games of their first trip of the season, with two of the three defeats coming by one goal.

First in Washington, former Golden Knights netminder Logan Thompson got revenge on his former team, stopping 24 of the 26 shots that he faced. Meanwhile, current Vegas goaltender Adin Hill struggled, allowing four goals on just 22 shots as the Capitals defeated the Golden Knights 4-2.

Next, the Golden Knights headed down to the Sunshine State for a matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Lightning star Nikita Kucherov scored two goals—including the game-winner in the game’s final minute. Hill struggled once again as Vegas blew a third period lead and fell 4-3.

Finally, on Saturday Vegas traveled across the state to take on the Panthers in a matchup of the last two Stanley Cup champions. Once again, the Golden Knights blew a third period lead, as the Panthers tied the game late in the third and went on to win 4-3 in overtime.

Looking to Bounce Back

Now, after the frustrating road trip, the Golden Knights return home to Vegas arena where they will look to bounce back. Vegas will host the Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, and Calgary Flames at T-Mobile Arena over the next seven days.

“We put ourselves in a good situation to win the hockey game,” captain Mark Stone said of the team’s three-game road trip. “Just kind of let our guard down.

“We want to be better at playing with the lead.”

Up first on the homestand, the Kings come to town Tuesday night. Puck drop from The Strip is set for 8:00 PM PDT.
