Leeds United have “absolutely no chance” of re-signing Archie Gray on loan in the January transfer window.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham and Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Gray’s career at Spurs is “exactly on track” right now.
The 18-year-old joined the Premier League side from the Yorkshire giants during the summer transfer window for £30million, but he’s only managed to play 581 minutes of football since that move.
Archie Gray is not expected to return to Leeds United this season
Asked about Gray re-signing for Leeds, Robinson gave an emphatic three-word response to Football Insider: “Absolutely no chance.”
He added: “He’s only just signed for Tottenham.
“His Tottenham career is going exactly according to plan as to what Ange Postecoglou would have wanted.
“He wasn’t a player that was going to come in, start every game, he’s a very young player he’s got huge potential and he’s already shown that he’s got a great talent.
“Archie Gray’s Tottenham career is exactly on track for where everybody expected and wanted it to be.
“Again, it’s just kite-flying journalism.”
