Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are now reportedly trying to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Chelsea have made contact with the camp of Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Chelsea are now exploring a potential deal for the USA international midfielder.

Romano has added that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want to sign Adams as well as Ecuador international midfielder Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

The reporter has claimed that Adams has a relegation release clause of £20 million in his contract at Leeds.

Leeds are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Chelsea could be able to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United

In our opinion, Chelsea could be able to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

First of all, as Fabrizio Romano notes, Adams has a relegation release clause of £20 million in his contract at Leeds.

So, all Chelsea need to do is trigger it.

Leeds would be able to do nothing about it.

It is a relatively modest sum for a club as big and wealthy as Leeds.

We do not think that Adams would need much convincing in moving to Chelsea.

After all, Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.

Adams did well for Leeds last season before his injury.

The 24-year-old made 24 appearances in the Premier League and played two matches in the FA Cup for Leeds last season.

Adams is still quite young, and he could develop and improve even further under Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
