Tottenham Hotspur have accepted a £86million bid from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane, football.london understands.

The German giants have seen three bids turned down for the England international by Daniel Levy and Spurs. The north Londoners have stood firm on their £100million valuation of the striker, but an agreement has been reached £14million below that fee.

Kane must now make a decision over whether or not to complete a move to the Bundesliga. football.london reported earlier this week that Kane would stay at the club if a deal had been struck before this weekend’s Premier League opener against Brentford.

Thomas Tuchel has made his intentions very clear of bringing Kane to the Allianz Arena this summer. Kane’s contract situation in England has left the door open for Bayern to make their move and only time will tell whether his time at his boyhood club will come to an end.

Both parties now await a decision from Kane before the finer details can be ironed out. However, Bayern will be eager to complete the deal before the start of their title defence.

Die Bayern will look to win their third straight DFB Super Cup this weekend when they take on RB Leipzig on Saturday. Their domestic campaign kick-started the following weekend with a trip to Werder Bremen.

For both clubs, getting a conclusion regarding Kane’s future sooner than later is a must. Allowing the saga to drag on into the final days of the window will leave Ange Postecoglou with his hands tied behind his back with little time to improve his squad.
