Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra could still leave the club this summer as he trains away from the main group, but it won’t be a loan exit that he seals, if he does leave.
Leeds have seen a massive portion of their first team squad leave on loan this summer after relegation, with clauses clearly present in their squad to allow that to happen.
With less than two weeks left in the transfer window, the club are now seemingly in a stronger position to retain key players, or cash in for higher amounts if needed – based on Daniel Farke’s recent comments.
Farke’s pre-West Brom press conference confirmed that Luis Sinisterra was one of three players currently training separately to the rest of the first team at the moment, alongside Willy Gnonto and Helder Costa.
It suggests that, like the other two, Sinisterra sees his future elsewhere, while the club look to resolve the matter internally and keep him and the rest from disrupting harmony amongst the rest of the squad.
Football Insider have now shared that any exit for the Colombian international this month will not be on a temporary basis with a loan.
Nice, his former club Feyenoord, and Brentford have all been cited with interest in the 24-year-old, but the club are standing firm on the matter, it seems.
Sinisterra might be someone we cash in on, but giving him time away from the squad is a smart ploy from Farke to keep harmony at its highest.
He could be the best player in the division if we get the best out of him, but that won’t happen right now.
On top of that, Sinisterra will know he’s an injury risk, and playing this much in August might scupper his chances – it’s less of a kick in the teeth for him to not play than Gnonto’s refusal.
