Wilfred Ndidi’s transfer to Liverpool is “possible,” according to Leicester City’s stated transfer policy.

Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with a possible move for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, as the club ‘want’ to sell the player before the transfer deadline.

It has been reported that Nottingham Forest are front runners for the Nigerian, who has been at City since January 2017. But they could now face some serious competition from the Premier League and further afield.

According to The Independent, Liverpool could turn to Ndidi as they look to strengthen their midfield options. The club are said to be ‘investigating’ if they can do one more midfield deal before the deadline.

Leicester are reported to be willing to do business, with journalist Miguel Delaney adding on X (formerly Twitter) that City “want to sell”.

Bayern Munich have also been linked with a summer interest in Ndidi, with reports in Germany earlier in the week claiming that the German giants want to sign the City man on loan. That’s not something the club are likely to accept, especially if there is cash on the table from the likes of Forest or Liverpool.

Interest from other clubs could be good news for City, who will look to use it to drive the price up. Ndidi has just one year remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, meaning that the club risk losing him for nothing next summer should they not cash in before Friday’s deadline.
