Nottingham Forest are working on three fascinating transfers ahead of transfer deadline day. That’s according to renowned transfer journalist Graeme Bailey.

The Reds are busy going into the home straight of the summer transfer window. Now, the 90Min journalist has been speaking with the Talking Transfers Podcast about Forest.

Forest are hopeful of signing Callum Hudson-Odoi before the window slams shut. The winger is set to join from Chelsea and he will reunite with Steve Cooper who he was managed by at England under-17 level.

It’s in midfield where the 90Min journalist is most intrigued. He thinks if Forest could complete the signing of Ibrahim Sangare and Wilfred Ndidi they could become some force.

“He sort of rejected them earlier in the window, he was looking for a bigger move, but Forest are still in there and their offer is still on the table. They are hoping to persuade him to come.

Bailey told the Talking Transfers Podcast: “Hudson Odoi is not far away from finally getting that done. Forest are a fascinating team to keep an eye on. We also understand that Wilfried Ndidi will be going there from Leicester. They also want Ibrahima Sangare, the PSV Eindhoven midfielder. We’re being told they still haven’t given up on him.

“He sort of rejected them earlier in the window, he was looking for a bigger move, but Forest are still in there and their offer is still on the table. They are hoping to persuade him to come.

“He would be a fantastic addition. Him and Andrey Santos. Wow. They would be brilliant in there. Ndidi – some very good business being done by Forest.”

It does promise to be an exciting end to the transfer window. After a slow summer for Forest, things look to be ramping up on the eve of the deadline.

Sangare is clearly the club’s number one target. They’ve courted him all summer long and last night, the midfielder helped PSV reach the Champions League group stages.

Ndidi is perhaps considered the backup should that move not go through. The Leicester man is a decent player and has similar qualities to that of Sangare.

Hopefully, these deals don’t go south. Given that Santos has already checked in and Nicolas Dominguez is also close to signing, things could be about to get very exciting for the Reds.
