Tottenham will prepare to travel up to Turf Moor as they try to keep their spot in the Premier League’s top four when they face Burnley this weekend.
Spurs suffered their first defeat under Ange Postecoglou when they crashed out of the Carabao Cup in the second round on penalties to Premier League rivals Fulham.
But now the Australian will be without a few of his best players after their impressive start to the Premier League season. With that being said, football.london is here to bring you all of the latest Tottenham injury news.
Richarlison
The Brazilian international suffered a slight knock in Spurs’ loss to Fulham but will be fit and ready for this weekend according to manager Postecoglou.
What Postecoglou has said: “I think he got a bit of a knock. I guess because everyone’s been talking about it it’s great for him to score a goal but I think he’s played better for us in the other games.
“I get why other people look at that and I understand that but for me it’s about contributing to our football, how we play. I thought we gave away the ball a bit too much tonight, not just him but a few players in that boat.
“It’s an important part of our game and that’s the stuff I want Richy to improve on. I think the goals will come. Our strikers, our attacking players will get opportunities to score. Our all-round games is much more important at this stage.”
Rodrigo Bentancur
The midfielder suffered a knee injury back in February which was a vital part in derailing Spurs’ campaign late on in the season. Now he’s hoping to come back as soon as possible to fight for a place in Postecoglou’s side.
What Bentancur has said (June 23): “We continue working, and my knee is doing very well. I didn’t set a lap time, but I hope in two or three months to be at least gaining a few mins again.”
Expected return date: October
Ryan Sessegnon
Sessegnon has been dealing with a hamstring issue he suffered during preseason training and underwent surgery to fix it.

Bryan Gil
Similar to Sessegnon, Gil has had no involvement thus far in the Premier League under the Australian due to a groin injury that kept coming back.
What Spurs have said (August 2): “Bryan has undergone surgery to resolve an issue in his groin. He will be closely monitored by our medical team to determine when he can return to training.”

Whiteman suffered an ankle injury in their preseason tour and is currently undergoing rehabilitation in order to fix it.
