Leicester City striker Patson Daka appeared to be set to join Bournemouth on a season-long loan, but the deal has now reportedly collapsed.
Andoni Iraola has been looking to bring in a new striker since his arrival at the Vitality Stadium, but after a late twist, he has been left disappointed.
Daka is a player who has been linked with several Premier League clubs, and is yet to make a single appearance for Leicester this season.
The 24-year-old joined Leicester from Red Bull Salzburg in 2021 and has scored nine goals in 53 league games for the English side.
As reported by TEAMtalk, Daka appeared to be on the verge of signing for Bournemouth on a season-long loan with an option to buy, but that deal is now off.
That is according to reputed transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. On Twitter, Romano wrote: “Patson Daka to Bournemouth, deal OFF. It was close but won’t happen.”
With that in mind, it seems Daka will be playing his football in the Championship this season, unless a club from a country with their transfer window still open, like Saudi Arabia, come in for him.
