Everton will be in search of a striker this month as they look to improve their frontline in the summer transfer window. The Toffees have already been linked to a host of names and Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa is the latest name to be associated with a move to Goodison Park.

The Toffees seem to have a long list of targets that includes Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres, free agents Alfredo Morelos and Moussa Dembele, Torino forward Antonio Sanabria and Udinese striker Beto who has been an evergreen link.

EFC boss Sean Dyche wants to sign at least two forwards this summer as he doesn’t want to gamble on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fitness. Calvert-Lewin’s poor fitness record doesn’t impart confidence and Dyche doesn’t rely solely on Neal Maupay. The Frenchman has netted just one goal in the entire season and given Everton’s aggressive search for a striker, Maupay could be sold to generate funds and make space in the squad.

Everton want to sign Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sempre Inter), Everton have shown interest in signing Inter Milan attacker Correa. The Argentine forward could be sold in this window and EFC are one of the clubs keen on him. West Ham United have also joined the list of admirers as a Premier League move could be on the cards.

Simone Inzaghi signed him from Lazio in 2021 but he has failed to make an impact this season. Plagued by injuries and lack of regular minutes, the Argentine has netted just four goals in 41 games this season. Inzaghi and Inter Milan’s directors agree that Correa must be offloaded this summer as he has failed to play a major role in the team.

Fenerbahce have registered interest in Correa but the attacker has no intention to play in Turkey. If the 28 year old is to leave Serie A, he would prefer to sign for a La Liga side or a Premier League side. Inter Milan want to offload Correa and they will try to find him a suitor either in Spain or in England.

Everton and West Ham have shown interest but it remains to be seen if it develops into anything substantial. The 28 year old is capable of playing as a second striker and excels when he has a main forward around him. Correa is valued at £10.2 million by Transfermarkt and given Inter’s need to sell, they will want a similar fee for him.
