Mikel Arteta has received a communication from Jakub Kiwior outlining his ideal position on the club as the manager tinkers with his starting lineup.

This season, Arsenal has changed their system, and injuries have required some modifications. Kiwior, who was initially signed as a center-back, has played at least one game this season on the left side of defense.

The squad has benefited from Kiwior’s versatility by having more alternatives and opportunities for players to play. He has done a good job of adapting to playing wherever his manager places him, but in a recent interview, he revealed his preferred position on the club.

According to Football London, Kiwior informed Sky Sports that center back is still his favorite position.

“However, I am aware that the coach chooses where I will play before the game.

Arsenal announce Jakub Kiwior transfer from Spezia Calcio - The Short FuseTherefore, where I play is no longer that essential to me; the coach makes that decision. The level of competition is really high, and we have fantastic players. I’m glad I can compete with players of this caliber, and even if I’m not chosen to start, I’ll still give it my all. I’m content. I don’t think that’s a negative thing.

Simply Arsenal’s Opinion

The team is more essential than any one player, thus everyone on the field should be ready to pitch in wherever needed.

If Kiwior proves to be superior to the players ahead of him in the pecking order, he will be given opportunities in defense.

He needs to concentrate more on working harder in training right now and demonstrating that he deserves a chance.
