Report: 21-year-old now expected to leave Leeds; Everton eyeing potential £12m move.

Everton are interested in signing Crysencio Summerville this summer, with the winger expected to leave Leeds United following the club’s relegation.

That is according to a report from The Telegraph, which notes that Feyenoord are also looking at the 21-year-old, who left De Kuip to join Leeds in 2020.

Crysencio Summerville was one of the only positives from last season’s shambolic campaign. The youngster scored four goals in as many games to give Leeds some hope heading into the World Cup break.

Everton eyeing Crysencio Summerville

He is not yet the finished article. So he is perhaps one of the players the Leeds hierarchy will hope to keep as they look to make their stay in the Championship as brief as possible.

But it seems that Leeds’ resolve is definitely going to be put to the test.

According to The Telegraph, Summerville is expected to leave Elland Road this summer. And Everton have joined the race for the £12 million-rated wide-man.

Ultimately, there are going to be a raft of changes to the squad over the coming weeks. Several players are going to be leaving the club. And plenty of fans will not be disappointed to see the back of many of them.

Summerville is one we surely need to do all we can to keep. There were several occasions when he was the one player who looked brave and dangerous going forward.

And while he is not yet the finished article, a year in the Championship could be absolutely perfect for the Dutchman. If it clicks for him, he could tear the division up.

But convincing him that that is the case is not necessarily going to be easy.

However, if Everton come calling, you would like to think that Summerville would not see the point in leaving.

But ruling anything out in the transfer window is dangerous.
