Robert Earnshaw delivered a one-word reaction to the goal scored by Nottingham Forest forward Callum Hudson-Odoi last night. The Reds drew 1-1 with Burnley at the City Ground to go eighth in the Premier League.
Hudson-Odoi had the chance to play for the Reds for the first time under Forest head coach Steve Cooper. In the 61st minute, he paid back that faith by bending an unstoppable effort past James Trafford.
Despite the Reds’ generally lackluster performance, Hudson-Odoi stole the show. As the season goes on, he hopes to play in more games and score more goals.
At the City Ground last night, Forest deserved no better than a point. In the end, it will take time for the new players to adjust, and Hudson-Odoi will get better still.
The player was acquired by the Reds from Chelsea in the summer for just £3 million. Cooper oversaw Hudson-Odoi when England’s under-17 team won the World Cup in 2017, so the move makes logical sense.
