Liverpool may have stumbled across their ideal Jurgen Klopp successor.
Despite rumors linking Klopp to the vacant position with the Germany national team, Liverpool supporters have recently had no cause for concern. The former Borussia Dortmund manager extended his contract with the team last year, keeping him there at least through the summer of 2026.
Since moving to Brighton last year, the Italian has flourished and rapidly established himself their squad over the past few months, therefore it seems doubtful that he will go on his own accord beforehand.
Liverpool has the highest confidence in Klopp, but they will be keeping an eye on potential successors in the Anfield dugout in case that time ever comes. Although De Zerbi’s success at the Amex Stadium is difficult to overlook, Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen and club star Steven Gerrard have both been mentioned as prospective contenders due to their histories with the club.
