A video has emerged of Chelsea defender Levi Colwill leaving his international teammates absolutely stunned during training.

The official England Twitter account shows the youngster intercepting a knockdown, before hitting an amazing half-volley into the top corner.

Colwill is yet to make his debut for England, although this is not the first time he has been part of the squad.

He has travelled this time to join up as the only recognised option to play on the left of defence, following his impressive start to the season in that position.

Despite having played most of his senior football as a central defender, various factors have seen Mauricio Pochettino feature him out wide.

Colwill stuns England teammates

One thing that has been very obvious since he has been there is how his attacking capabilities have improved greatly, or at least been given more of a platform to shine.

His assist for Mykhailo Mudryk’s first Chelsea goal was sensational, and further proved that he was one of the better defenders with the ball at his feet.

Now, his England teammates have been given a first person viewing of just how talented he is, both in defence and attack.

In the video, he beats Marcus Rashford to a ball before driving forwards and striking a half-volley on his left foot.

The sweet strike flies past the opposing goalkeeper in the small-sided game, and players on either side can be heard reacting to what they have just seen.

It remains to be seen whether Colwill is handed his debut across this international break, or if Gareth Southgate is stubborn enough to stick with an out of position Kieran Trippier on the left of defence.
