According to a report from The Sun, it has been suggested that Chelsea have reached an agreement to transfer Romelu Lukaku to Roma for £37 million at the conclusion of the season. The Belgian striker made a loan move to the Italian capital from Stamford Bridge in August. The 30-year-old was notably absent from Chelsea’s pre-season preparations and is unlikely to feature for the club in the future.
Lukaku’s Impressive Numbers For Roma This Season
He has made an explosive beginning to his tenure at Roma after producing some impressive displays in front of the goal. The Belgium international has found the net on seven occasions in just eight appearances across all competitions.
He has been a reliable force in Roma’s attacking department as he is averaging 2.5 shots, 0.5 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per game in the Serie A. He has also been efficient while distributing the ball after completing 76.5% of his attempted passes in the Italian top flight (stats via whoscored).
