Liverpool has a number of young talents to keep an eye on over the course of the next few months. This is a lowdown on the players that you should be watching out for.

Without the Champions League at senior level, Liverpool’s youngsters will miss out on the UEFA Youth League next season — a competition that has been a platform for many (including Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott) to impress in recent years.

The counter-balance for some of those players might be that there are opportunities handed out during the Europa League group stage, while Liverpool will hope for easier domestic cup draws this time around which could also provide chances.

Either way, some players, including Ben Doak, will have eyes on playing senior football as regularly as possible. Others will follow the likes of Calvin Ramsay and, perhaps soon, Fábio Carvalho, in seeking loan moves.

Here, Liverpool.com has taken a look at some of the young Reds talents who you should be watching out for during pre-season and beyond…

Conor Bradley — He had an excellent season at Bolton in League One, but is he ready to be Trent Alexander-Arnold’s back-up? Ramsay’s loan to Preston and the priority transfer-wise being left-sided center-back suggests he might be, though there is also Joe Gomez who can slot in at right-back. Bradley turns 20 next month so he’s still very young and a Championship loan might be a good next step.

Tyler Morton — The big question is where the minutes come from for him, with new signings coming in including Alexis Mac Allister. He is also not that dissimilar to Stefan Bajčetić (another one who perhaps should be on this list, given he is only 18, but feels like a senior player now!) and there might only be room for one.

Jarell Quansah — Did well in League One but how do you get minutes when Joël Matip and Joe Gomez struggled to last season? Center-back is a very hard place to break in. A Championship loan could add up.

Luke Chambers — Long-term, he is the perfect stylistic fit for the left-sided role in the new-look Liverpool formation, but he only turned 19 this weekend, so that might be another loan away yet. He played 13 games for Kilmarnock last season at 18 so is on the right track and is very highly rated.

Sepp van de Berg — Turns 22 in December, the young Dutchman has had a lot of injuries in the last couple of years (he played a lot for Preston but only nine times for Schalke last year). A permanent exit would make sense.

Billy Koumetio — Turns 21 in December but has still got a lot of development to do.
