YouTube TV drops Channel That Carries Phoenix Suns Games Tomorrow; Where to Stream the Team Without Cable.

The infamous day has nearly arrived. As of Saturday, Nov. 18, YouTube TV will no longer be carrying Arizona’s Family 3TV, one of the local channels responsible for distributing Phoenix Suns games to Arizona viewers after the team left its former home of Bally Sports Arizona this year.

  • YouTube TV and Arizona’s Family 3TV could not reach a new retransmission agreement to keep the channel on the streamer.
  • YouTube TV is still offering Arizona’s Family CBS 5, which also carries Suns games.
  • Users can also watch the Suns on Fubo or with Suns Live in Arizona if they don’t want to continue with YouTube TV.

Which Channels Are Being Dropped by YouTube TV This Weekend?

The other channel which offers Suns games in Arizona is Arizona’s Family CBS 5 (KPHO). That channel will not be dropped by YouTube TV, so subscribers of that service in Arizona who don’t wish to cancel will still have a way to watch Suns games live. Users can also grab an over-the-air antenna and watch on whichever channel they want.

Will Arizona’s Family 3TV return to YouTube TV? It’s possible, as the two sides could continue to negotiate after the channel is dropped. However, it will probably take a large influx of complaints from Arizona YouTube TV customers to get the channel back, especially since the service still has a channel that carries Suns games.

Where Can You Stream the Suns Besides YouTube TV?

If you’ve already canceled YouTube TV because of its dropping Arizona’s Family 3TV, there are other options for watching the Suns in the Arizona market without a cable subscription. First, look into Fubo, which is the only live TV streaming service that carries Arizona’s Family Sports. Fubo is offering $20 off a subscription to any plan for a limited time.

Suns Live is also an option for in-market fans to watch Phoenix games. This service offers livestreams of all Suns games not airing on national TV channels, and costs $14.99 per month to access or $109.99 per year.
